Falcon mounts its load cells under the outside structural I-beams. Checking and replacement happen from beside the platform, and the standard deck carries no cover plates. Stainless rocker column cells are hermetically sealed to IP69K. Above ground, six models, 60 to 150 tons.

The Falcon specialty
Undermount, sealed, above ground
Falcon is the family to specify when access and sealing drive the decision: wash-down operations, chemical and coastal plants, and sites where an above-ground install is the requirement. Three design choices do that work.
Undermount load cells
Cells sit under the outside structural I-beams. Installation, checking and maintenance are done from the side of the scale, and the standard build carries no cover plates in the deck. Cover plates remain available for shallow-pit settings.
IP69K sealed stainless cells
Stainless steel rocker column load cells, completely hermetically sealed with the cable entry closed by a glass-to-metal header, at 300% overload capacity. Cables run 15 ft in ArmourGuard stainless sheathing.
Open bottom understructure
Air circulates through the open understructure, the module can be inspected from beneath, and the entire module is painted. Every Falcon is designed for above-ground foundations.
Capacity across the family
Concentrated load capacity runs 90,000 lb to 120,000 lb across the family, with scale capacity from 60 to 150 tons.
5-year weighbridge warranty
The structural steel weighbridge carries a 5-year warranty from shipment against defective material or workmanship, provided it is serviced at least twice a year by a Thurman-authorized service entity under a Preventive Maintenance Agreement that stays in force for the full warranty period.

Load cell interface
Analog or Intalogix®.
Every Thurman electronic scale is configured with one of two load-cell interfaces. Specify an analog interface to combine all the load cell signals into one that is read by the indicator, or trade up to Intalogix for a modern digital solution with the latest in lightning and surge technologies.
Thurman Analog
One summed signal, trimmed section by section.

- Each section is trimmed at a potentiometer on its controller
- The controllers interconnect and send one analog signal to the indicator

Thurman Intalogix Technology
Every load cell reported, trimmed at the indicator.

Analog signalDigital data
One ordering rule. A scale supplied with Intalogix must be ordered with an Intalogix indicator at the same time — the interface and the indicator are specified together. Your distributor confirms which interface a given model ships with at quotation.
Two electronic families, different specialties
Falcon or Diamondback
Thurman builds both families and keeps both current. They are specified for different reasons, not ranked.
Falcon
Rocker column, undermount, above ground. Specify it for sealed cells in wet and corrosive plants, for service access from the side of the platform, for a portable installation, or where a rocker column is the spec.

Self-centering double-ended shear beam. Specify it for impact-heavy traffic and the highest concentrated loads in the catalog, where the bridge has to recover from braking shock and off-center hits on its own.
