Falcon 8565XD Extreme Duty Truck Scale
Sized for haul trucks: 120,000 lb CLC and 14 ft widths
At quarries, mines and on haul roads, off-road haul trucks are often wider and carry more per axle than highway traffic. The Falcon 8565XD is rated for both, in 10, 11, 12 and 14 ft widths. Hermetically sealed cells with a glass-to-metal cable entry keep moisture out on wet, harsh sites. The open bottom lets air move through the modules, so a crew can inspect and paint every part.
The deck is 3/8 in. plate on 16 in. I-beams, in an orthotropic structural steel module. Deflection is 1/1800 under legal highway loads, and scale capacity runs 75 to 150 tons. The 14 ft width is built with top-access cover plates.

Questions
Is the Falcon 8565XD legal for trade in the US and Canada?
Yes. It carries NTEP Certificate of Conformance 22-087 in the United States, certified to platform widths of 14 ft, and Measurement Canada approval AM-6004 in Canada. They are separate approvals: an NTEP certificate alone does not clear a scale for commercial use in Canada.
Can the 8565XD go in a pit?
Yes, as the pit-friendly build. The standard scale is designed for an above-ground foundation. The pit-friendly build adds top access cover plates, one per section, ordered with the scale, and pit coping is ordered separately. The 14 ft wide scale is always built with cover plates.
