Falcon 8565HD Steel Deck Truck Scale
Thicker steel deck for heavier axles
Heavier axle groups put more load on one part of the deck at a time. The Falcon 8565HD is rated for that at 100,000 lb concentrated load capacity, in platforms 10, 11 or 12 ft wide. Load cells sit under the outside I-beams, so the scale is serviced from beside the platform. Hermetically sealed to IP69K, the cells suit wet sites and yards that are washed down.
The deck is 3/8 in. welded tread plate over structural I-beams, with an open bottom that lets air circulate underneath. Deflection is 1/1400, and scale capacity runs 60 to 150 tons. Load cells are 100,000 lb stainless steel rocker columns, checked by an end-wall bump post system. Lengths run 10 to 120 ft in one to six modules on an above-ground foundation.

Questions
Is the Falcon 8565HD legal for trade in the US and Canada?
Yes. It carries NTEP Certificate of Conformance 22-087 in the United States and Measurement Canada approval AM-6004 in Canada. They are separate approvals: an NTEP certificate alone does not clear a scale for commercial use in Canada.
How is the 8565HD different from the 8565?
It is the heavier-duty build. The 8565HD has a concentrated load capacity of 100,000 lb against 90,000 lb, 3/8 in. deck plate against 1/4 in., 100,000 lb load cells, a deflection of 1/1400 against 1/1200 and a 12 ft width option. Both cover 60 to 150 tons and 10 to 120 ft, with the same side-serviced load cells.
Can the 8565HD go in a pit?
Yes, as the pit-friendly build. The standard scale is designed for an above-ground foundation. The pit-friendly build adds top access cover plates, one per section, ordered with the scale, and pit coping is ordered separately.
