Falcon 8565 PV Portable Truck Scale
A steel deck truck scale that moves with the job
Road construction, demolition, seasonal work, temporary aggregate sites and leased land often need a truck scale for a season or a contract. The Falcon 8565 PV can also stand in while a permanent scale is repaired or replaced. Modules ship fully assembled, with base plates, load cells and checking installed. The self-contained sub-frame sets on concrete piers, firm level ground, leveled gravel or heavy wood supports.
The deck is 1/4 in. steel plate on an open-bottom orthotropic steel module, at a deflection of 1/1200. Concentrated load capacity is 90,000 lb and scale capacity runs 90 to 150 tons. Platforms are 10 ft wide and 47 to 80 ft long. Intalogix® is standard, with Smart Sectional Controllers installed at the factory, so the Intalogix indicator is ordered with the scale.

Questions
Is the Falcon 8565 PV legal for trade in the US and Canada?
Yes. It carries NTEP Certificate of Conformance 22-087 in the United States and Measurement Canada approval AM-6004 in Canada. They are separate approvals: an NTEP certificate alone does not clear a scale for commercial use in Canada.
What does the 8565 PV sit on?
A firm, level base. The sub-frame can be set on concrete piers, firm level ground, a leveled gravel area or heavy wood supports, with a recommended soil bearing of 3,000 psf. Concrete piers give the most solid, level base, and the sub-frame is anchored to them.
Which indicator does the 8565 PV need?
An Intalogix indicator, ordered at the same time as the scale. The PV comes with Intalogix as standard, and its Smart Sectional Controllers and power supply are installed at the factory.
