TS3311 Indicator
The indicator tells you which section drifted
At an indoor desk, the operator runs inbound and outbound weighing from a 7-inch color screen with 7/8-inch digits, a numeric keypad and five function buttons. It keeps 1,000 customer and 1,000 product records, loaded from a spreadsheet, and accumulates product inventory against each weighment. Tickets print on the site's own layout. If a load cell fails, the Intalogix® diagnostics page shows which one with a timestamped error code, so service goes straight to it.
Analog signals digitize at scale-mounted Smart Sectional Controllers, two cells each, one per section, with surge protection in the digital signal path. The home run travels digitally, as far as 1,800 ft on ten 1,000-ohm cells. The controllers and pit power supply are ordered separately. The NEMA 12 desktop has two RS-232, a 20 mA loop, two USB and Ethernet standard.
Features & benefits
Intalogix® digital load-cell interface
Analog cells digitize at Smart Sectional Controllers, two cells per SSC, one SSC per scale section.
Cell-by-cell trim, calibration and diagnostics
Names the failing load cell with a timestamped error code instead of isolating by elimination.
Home run to 1,800 ft on ten 1,000-ohm cells
Puts the scale house well off the deck; a second pit power supply doubles the distance.
Embedded web server
Configure, pull transaction reports and lay out tickets from a browser on the plant network.
7-inch 800 x 480 color display, 7/8-inch digits
Numeric keypad plus five function buttons; brightness set from the operator menu.
Gross-Tare-Net and inbound/outbound weighing modes
One indicator covers bench, floor, hopper, truck and rail work without a firmware change.
Standard Ethernet, dual RS-232, 20 mA and dual USB
Networks, remote displays, printers and a USB keyboard connect without buying an option card.
1,000 customer and 1,000 product records, CSV import
Bulk-load records from a spreadsheet and accumulate product inventory against each weighment.
What's included
- TS3311 NEMA 12 desktop indicator (PN 40294)
- AC power cable
From each load cell to the TS3311
- Analog load cells of any brand, a pair in every section. A failed cell is replaced from general stock, not from a proprietary digital line.
- One Smart Sectional Controller per section, serving its two cells, digitizes each load cell signal at the scale.
- The controllers daisy-chain on one digital path to the scale house.
- One pit power supply per scale, with built-in lightning and surge protection.
- The TS3311 reads each load cell and section. Technicians trim cell by cell, and the diagnostics page names the failing cell.
Detail A. Each cell's signal enters its controller as analog and leaves as digital data, so the indicator sees every cell on its own. The controllers and the pit power supply are ordered separately from the indicator.

The technical picture
The TS3311 reaches the scale over Intalogix® digital load-cell communication. Analog signals digitize at scale-mounted Smart Sectional Controllers, two cells each, one per section. The home run then travels digitally, up to 1,800 ft on ten 1,000-ohm cells. Technicians trim cell by cell, and the diagnostics page names the failing cell.
The desktop housing is an aluminum base with a powder-coated mild steel cover, rated NEMA 12 and 14 F to 104 F (-10 C to 40 C) for indoor installation. The display is a 7-inch 800 x 480 color LCD. Standard comms are two RS-232 ports, a 20 mA loop, two USB ports and a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port; one expansion slot takes an accessory card.
An embedded web server puts configuration, live weight, transaction reports, drag-and-drop ticket layout and CSV record import in a browser on the same network. Storage holds 1,000 tares and 10,000 transactions. NTEP CC 25-080, class III/IIIL.

Specifier & operator FAQ
Is the TS3300 legal for trade in the United States?
Yes. NTEP Certificate of Conformance 25-080 covers Model TS3300 as a digital electronic indicating element, accuracy class III / III L, n_max 10,000, issued 27 August 2025. The certificate lists both the analog and Intalogix variants and both housings. In Canada, the TS3300 is covered by Measurement Canada class approval AM-6004. NTEP and Measurement Canada are separate approvals and neither implies the other.
Does the TS3311 work with standard analog load cells?
Yes. Intalogix digitizes the output of conventional analog load cells at the Smart Sectional Controllers; no proprietary digital load cells are required. Each SSC serves two load cells, normally one SSC per scale section. The SSCs and the pit power supply are ordered separately from the indicator and are not included with it.
What can you do from the web interface?
Enter the indicator IP address in a browser on the same network. Without a password you see live scale weight, the operator menu and the audit trail. The customer or service password adds full configuration and the drag-and-drop ticket editor. It also opens transaction reports, tare management, CSV import and export of customer and product records, and the cell diagnostics page.
Which communications are standard and which cost extra?
Standard on every unit: two RS-232 ports, one optically isolated 20 mA loop, two USB ports, one dedicated RS-485 relay-box output and one 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port. Separately priced field-installed cards for the single expansion slot cover extra serial ports and RS-485, 4-20 mA and voltage analog output, and Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP or DeviceNet PLC interfaces.
How many load cells will it run?
Sixteen 1,000-ohm load cells or ten 350-ohm load cells on one scale. The indicator handles one scale. Load cell capacity has no practical limit; scale capacity is configurable from 0 to 999,999 with division sizes from 0.0001 to 200 and resolution of 10,000d commercial or 50,000d non-commercial.
What printers and remote displays does it drive?
The 295 and 590 Series ticket printers, the TM-T88VII thermal printer over USB, and the 220 tape printer — the T88VII and 220 print accumulation records. Remote displays: the 218 Series 1.5-inch and 5-inch LED displays, the 218T with integrated traffic light, and the 218 RF. Ethernet output supports continuous, print-triggered and polled modes.
