TS250 Indicator - Stainless NEMA 4X
Six keys in NEMA 4X stainless, for the washdown line
The stainless TS250 mounts in the platform's washdown zone, on its supplied bench or wall bracket. Its NEMA 4X enclosure meets general food and other industrial washdown requirements. Calibration and sealing happen at a two-screw cover plate, so routine service does not open the washdown boundary. The optional stainless Ethernet TCP accessory installs alongside a PLC interface, so weight reaches the plant network and the PLC.
Inside is the ABS build's TS250 platform: eight 350 ohm or sixteen 1000 ohm analog load cells and a 6-digit, 1.0 in. backlit LCD. The six front-panel keys match the ABS build, so an operator trained on one knows both. The enclosure is 304 series stainless steel, and cabling enters through sealing glands. COM1 and COM2 are standard as RS232, RS422 or RS485, with 20 mA passive on COM2.

The technical picture
The TS250 in 304 series stainless steel carries a NEMA 4X rating and meets general food and other industrial washdown requirements. The weighing platform matches the ABS build: eight 350 ohm or sixteen 1000 ohm load cells, a 6-digit 1.0 in. green backlit LCD, capacity to 999,999 and divisions from 0.0001 to 50.
Cabling enters through sealing glands, not a case-mounted connector. COM1 and COM2 land on the board as RS232, RS422 or RS485, with 20 mA passive on COM2. The stainless build takes Ethernet TCP accessory 33557, which can be installed alongside a PLC interface option. The ABS enclosure does not allow that pairing. Shipping weight is 12 lb.

Bluetooth Class I accessoryIndicator side
Powered by the indicator and supplied with cable 29402. Runs over COM1 or COM2 as RS232, with a range of 100 m (328 ft). A link needs the far end as well: 29515 for the PC or printer side, AC adapter 29639 where its USB power cable does not suit, and cable 24331Q to reach a printer. The indicator is the server when it connects to a printer and the client when it connects to a PC.
Specifier & operator FAQ
Is the stainless TS250 suitable for washdown?
The 304 stainless enclosure is rated NEMA 4X and the literature states it meets general food and other industrial washdown requirements. No IP rating is published for this enclosure, so specify it by its NEMA 4X rating. Operating range is -10 to +40 C (+14 to +104 F).
Why are there two Ethernet TCP item numbers?
The accessory is enclosure-specific. Item 33555 is the ABS version and cannot be installed with a PLC interface option. Item 33557 is the SS NEMA 4X version and can be installed with a PLC interface option. Both are separately priced, field-installed accessories, not standard equipment.
Is legal-for-trade approval in place?
NTEP Certificate of Conformance 15-099 covers the TS250 Series for commercial use up to 10,000 divisions against NIST Handbook 44. Measurement Canada approval AM-6002 is a separate approval with its own number. Peak hold and piece-count modes are not legal for trade.
How is the stainless indicator calibrated and sealed?
Remove the cover plate at the lower right of the enclosure and press the internal program switch to cycle through SET-UP, CONFIG, APP and CAL. After calibration the wire lead seal is threaded through the two screws that hold the access plate, then crimped. Cover screws torque to 18 +/- 2 in-lb.
Can the stainless TS250 run without AC power?
Part number 34644 is AC only. Battery accessory 29265 is a field-installed five-cell pack for the stainless enclosure, and 34661 is the factory AC/battery stainless build. With one 350 ohm load cell, the backlight off and both serial ports off, the manual rates 55 hours of run time.
