TS600 Driver Assist Terminal
Drivers weigh in and out and take the ticket without leaving the cab
At an unattended scale, loaded and empty passes complete with no operator at a console. The driver keys IN or OUT and a loop ID of 15 characters or less, and keypad lockout keeps drivers out of configuration. Traffic lights sequence automatically off the threshold weight; the lights themselves are ordered separately. Completed transactions download to a PC over the network, with no visit to the terminal.
The DAT is the TS600 panel-mount indicator built into a NEMA 4 powder-coated mild steel terminal. A TM-U220 tape printer, heater and filtered fan come factory installed and cabled. Two pole-mount plates ship with it, and the 8 ft pole kit is ordered separately. The TS613 connects over Intalogix® and needs Smart Sectional Controllers and a pit power supply on the scale; the TS603 takes analog cells.

The technical picture
The TS613 DAT puts a TS600 terminal at the scale so a driver weighs without an attendant at a console. The driver presses IN, keys a loop ID of up to 15 characters and takes the inbound ticket. On the return trip, OUT and the same loop ID close the transaction and print the outbound ticket.
A TM-U220 tape printer with full cutter, an enclosure heater and a filtered fan are factory installed and cabled. The terminal ships with two pole-mount plates and a printer chute and weighs 36 lb. Traffic light control must be set to automatic, and keypad lockout restricts the driver to the keys the cycle needs.
Load cells connect over Intalogix® digital communication, so a technician reads per-cell counts in a browser rather than opening the terminal. Transaction reports download to a PC over the network. The scale must be equipped with Smart Sectional Controllers and a pit power supply.

Required to power the Smart Sectional Controllers and not included with the indicator. An additional power supply is required for applications with more than 16 load cells.

Relay box interface card
Required to drive a 713 relay box or an ACC 778 LED traffic light. Not required when a 218T display controls the lights over the 20 mA interface. Only one expansion module fits socket J8, so it cannot be combined with a 4-20 mA card.

Interface cable 17216 required. A TS600 controls the traffic light through the 20 mA interface with this display, so no relay box is needed.

What model number is the Driver Assist Terminal?
TS613 with Intalogix, item 37568, and TS603 with an analog load-cell interface, item 37768. The DAT is not a separate model line; it is the panel-mount indicator built into an outdoor terminal enclosure.
How does a driver use it?
The driver pulls onto the scale, stops at the terminal and presses IN, enters a unique loop ID and takes the inbound ticket. After loading or unloading the truck returns, the driver presses OUT, re-enters the same loop ID, and the outbound ticket prints with the completed transaction.
Does the terminal need a traffic light?
Traffic light control must be set to automatic when the DAT is used, so lights sequence on the threshold weight rather than an operator key press. The lights themselves and the relay interface card 30920 are separately priced items.
Is a pole included?
No. Two pole-mount plates ship with the terminal, and it is also wall mountable. The 8 ft aluminum pole kit with base, cap and drill-in anchor bolts is item 86356, ordered separately.
Does it work with analog load cells?
Item 37568 does not; it is the Intalogix version and requires Smart Sectional Controllers and a pit power supply on the scale. The analog DAT is item 37768, documented in service manual 51420.
Is the Driver Assist Terminal legal for trade?
In the United States, yes: NTEP Certificate of Conformance 17-128, which covers all TS600 series models including the Driver Assist Terminal. Literature 100616 p.4 lists the TS613 indicator among the models covered but does not name the DAT; the certificate scope is confirmed to include it. In Canada, the TS600 series is covered by Measurement Canada class approval AM-6004. NTEP and Measurement Canada are separate approvals and neither implies the other.
