Diamondback 8560 Steel Deck Truck Scale

The Diamondback 8560's CheckLink checking takes hard shocks and side loads, and needs no further adjustment once set at installation. Load cell compartments open through top access plates whose bolts sit outside the tire path, and the electronics mount on the side. Underneath, 5-7/8 in. of open clearance lets a crew clean out debris. Every standard size, 10 to 100 ft long, carries the same 90,000 lb concentrated load rating.
The deck is welded 1/4 in. diamond-tread steel plate on nine wide-flange I-beams per module. Deflection is 1/1260 at the 90,000 lb concentrated load rating. Double-ended shear beam load cells carry it through parallel links, a full 360-degree shock suspension. The modules are factory assembled and set on an above-ground foundation.

The bottom of the weighbridge is open, with 5-7/8 in. of clearance for cleaning out debris.
Traction on the deck
A diamond tread on the deck plate promotes tire traction and deck durability.

Access plate bolts outside the tire path
Two hex bolts hold each top access plate, placed where the wheels do not run over them.

Five-year weighbridge warranty
Repair or replacement for defective material or workmanship, with service twice a year under an authorized Preventive Maintenance Agreement held without lapse.

Questions
Is the Diamondback 8560 legal for trade in the US and Canada?
Yes. It carries NTEP Certificate of Conformance 89-016 in the United States and Measurement Canada approval AM-6004 in Canada. They are separate approvals: an NTEP certificate alone does not clear a scale for commercial use in Canada. Double-wide models are available but are not NTEP certified.
What foundation does the Diamondback 8560 need?
An above-ground concrete foundation built to the certified drawings supplied with the scale. The soil must bear at least 3,000 PSF, and the concrete mix must reach 4,000 psi. Traffic waits 28 days, or until a test cylinder shows design strength.
What size crane does installation need?
Steel deck modules weigh up to about 4 tons each. Size the crane to that weight and the reach on site. Each module is lifted on four chains or cables of equal length, about 20 ft.
